"Is this a dagger I see before me, Number One?" Patrick Stewart talks to
us about his role as Macbeth (and a little bit about Trek as well of
course) . . .
The recently knighted Sir Patrick Stewart is still best known as
Captain Picard on STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION, or perhaps as Professor
Xavier in the X-MEN film series. He began his career on stage, however,
and his heart still lies with Shakespeare. He recently completed two
lauded productions of the Bard's greatest works: HAMLET, which he co-stars
in opposite DR. WHO'S David Tennent, and MACBETH, in which he plays an
older version of the titular murderous Scot. He sat down to speak with the
press at the Television Critics Association a short while ago to discuss
the projects and his legacy as an actor. A sound file of his comments
follows. Download
