A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a
serial killer who wields a glove with four blades embedded in the fingers
and kills people in their dreams, resulting in their real death in
reality.
Apparently this new project will keep the high school
setting and delve deeper in the psychology of nightmares and Freddy
Krueger himself.
Jackie Earle Haley who played Rorschach in
Watchmen will play Freddy instead
of Robert Englund who made the role famous.
Warner Bros.' New Line Cinema has hired veteran
screenwriter Wesley Strick to pen this relaunch of the Nightmare on Elm
Street series.
