The
Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (2011)
Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley
Greene, Peter Facinelli
Director: Bill Condon
U.S. Opening Date: November 18, 2011
A fourth Twilight Saga movie is about as inevitable
as Death Itself considering how much money this franchise has made thus
far.
However the planned film presents a lot of challenges
for Summit Entertainment which owns the rights for all four of Stephanie
Meyer’s Twilight books.
For starters there is the novel’s length: Meyer’s 2008
novel clocks in at a whopping 756 pages! According to Variety the
studio is considering breaking the novel into two movies like Harry Potter and the
Deathly Hallows.
[WARNING: PLOT SPOILERS HEAD] Then there’s the
fact that author Stephanie Meyer considers the novel to be unfilmable
because of to Renesmee, Bella’s baby. (The book focuses on Bella and
Edward's marriage and her subsequent pregnancy.) Meyer believes that an
actress could not play Renesmee because she is a baby but has complete
awareness. “The one thing that I’ve never seen is a CGI human being who
truly looks real,” Meyer stated.
She did however add that “they develop amazing new
technologies everyday, and we've got a little time left.” [END

Then there are also concerns about making a PG-13 movie
out of Breaking Dawn, a tall order considering the book’s complex
and graphic storylines – not to mention the birth of a half-vampire,
half-human baby!
Filming would most likely start in Vancouver in spring
2010. Expect the main cast to return.
